From humble beginnings, BBWM started as informal gatherings at a former Brazilian marketplace in Kendall, where a small group of women came together to share experiences and support one another. What began as casual meet-ups quickly grew into a thriving network dedicated to empowering Brazilian businesswomen in Miami.

Today, BBWM proudly operates from its headquarters at Venture X in Palmetto Bay, a dynamic space that reflects our growth and commitment to fostering collaboration, mentorship, and business success. Our journey is a testament to the strength of community and the limitless potential of women supporting women.

A Shared Vision: The Beginning of BBWM

In 2021, Marisa Ferreira, Elaine Canteras, and Luzia Busch met over coffee, united by a common purpose—to support Brazilian immigrant women in the U.S. on their entrepreneurial journeys.

Recognizing the challenges these women faced, they saw a possibility to make a difference. With their combined experience, they founded Brazilian Business Women of Miami (BBWM), a growing community built on mentorship, education, and empowerment.
